Top 10 Things You Didn’t Know About Mike Posner

97.5 NOW FM (Lansing, MI):  Mike Posner came to visit the station today! I was already a fan (“Cheated” was my break up anthem of the year last year), but now I’m an even bigger fan and here’s why:

  1. Mike Posner used to do Yoga (and is working on his headstand)
  2. He keeps his trophies and awards at his mom’s house in Michigan
  3. He wants to use his talent to help make the world a better place
  4. He just started learning how to play guitar (and is good!)
  5. He still sleeps in his childhood bed when he comes home to visit (so his feet hang off the foot of the bed)
  6. He’s a humanitarian – Every copy of his upcoming album Pages that is sold, a meal will go to a child in need
  7. He came up with the idea to feed a child in need over a bad airplane meal on one of his flights
  8. He loves/appreciates his fans- there were a lot of fans that worked at the station today and he requested to play a few songs for everyone that worked at the station, which was AWESOME
  9. He had the jerseys he’s wearing in the music video for “Top of the World” specially made so he could have ‘Posner’ written on the back
  10. He’s a Tracy Chapman fan
  11. I know it’s a top 10, but I’m adding my own! Me and Mike Posner look GOOD standing next to each other! Just saying! (Mike, hit a girl up!)

Here’s our interview today and a song he just wrote and played for us called “Fingertip”!
