“I made this necklace before a show in Boulder, CO with a girl I met in a vintage store earlier that day. I was late for soundcheck but it was definitely worth it.
The shape of the overall piece was important to me. It had to be asymmetrical. I’ve somehow found a way to make a living off of my art and I wanted the piece to reflect that. Hence, we have beads and stones on the chain connecting to just a little bit of bling on the charm. 🙂
The stones are black beads, copper, and jade.
Finally, comes Frank the Rabbit who you may recognize from the film, Donnie Darko. He was cast of white gold and pavé set diamonds by Pascal Mouawad.
People interpret Frank’s role in the film in many different ways. Some even call him the anti-Christ. In the film, he steers Donnie to do things that seem terribly wrong at the time, but in the end turn out to be heroic acts of self sacrifice. That’s why I wear him around my neck every day; to help me make the right decisions, not the most popular ones.” – Mike Posner
