Cooler Than Me star speaks to Gossip

Pop star Mike Posner is riding high.  After the success of his debut song “Cooler Than Me”, the in-demand singer has been performing all over the world.

The Gossip team caught up with Mike for an exclusive chat after his performance at Radio City Live.

Gossip: How did it feel to get a top ten hit with your debut single “Cooler Than Me”?

A: It felt great.  I really liked the song but you always wonder how people are going to react to it.  So when things started to take off I was like, wow.

Gossip:  Tell us a bit about the video.

A: I always liked the idea of seeing the world through a different pair of eyes.  I see the world differently than everyone else and I think we kind of portrayed that point in the video.

Gossip: Your new single Bow Chicka Wow Wow is out now, tell us about that.

A: Bow Chicka Wow Wow is one of those songs that you get down to.

I wanted to make a song, when if you’re with a girl, you can just put it on and then everything else is over, it sets the mood.

I want that song to be top of every guy’s playlist when he brings a lady home.

Gossip: Is there anyone special in your life at the moment?

A: No not at the moment.  I’m just trying to have fun.  I’m cool with the way things are at the moment.  I’m constantly doing shows and away from home a lot so it’s good to be free for now.
