Mike Posner Releases “I Took a Pill in Ibiza” (The Forest Remix Pack) With Five Powerful New Remixes

Mike Posner’s iconic anthem “I Took a Pill in Ibiza” just got a massive new remix release and it’s packed with fresh energy, festival vibes, and emotional impact.

The brand-new “I Took a Pill in Ibiza” (The Forest Remix Pack) features five dynamic reworks of the hit song from an all-star lineup of producers: Steve Aoki, Laidback Luke, BONNIE X CLYDE, Trivecta, and Prosecute. Each remix brings its own sonic identity ranging from euphoric big-room drops to emotionally charged melodic bass breathing new life into the song that first captured hearts nearly a decade ago.

Originally released in 2015 as a stripped-down acoustic track, “I Took a Pill in Ibiza” gained worldwide fame after being remixed by Seeb later that year. Both versions appear on Mike’s 2016 album At Night, Alone., and now the song continues its evolution with this powerful new remix collection.

The Forest Remix Pack drops just ahead of Mike’s highly anticipated performance at Electric Forest in Michigan on June 21, making this release all the more special for fans heading to the festival.

Steve Aoki shared what the track means to him:

“Remixing ‘I Took A Pill In Ibiza’ was deeply personal for me. That song has always carried so much weight, and doing it with Mike, especially sharing that moment with him onstage at EDC, was unforgettable. There was so much raw emotion in the air. You could feel every lyric. Mike is pure soul, and I’m honored to be part of a moment that meant so much to both of us”

And Mike added:

“i love remixes. i love music. i love life. i love this remix pack and can’t wait to play it live.”

Whether you’re reliving the journey or discovering the track for the first time, this remix pack is a celebration of resilience, connection, and the power of music to transform over time.
