Mike Posner Co-Wrote “Sugar” on Maroon 5 ‘V’ Album

Maroon 5 are set to release their new album V on September 2, 2014! I’ve learned that Mike Posner is a co-writer for one of the songs titled “Sugar” that’s featured on their new album.

You may be thinking “Hmm, I think I recognize the song title “Sugar”,” and let me tell you why. In the Summer of 2013, while on the Kesha Warrior Tour, Mike Posner performed his version of “Sugar” live. This is the 3rd song that I’m aware of that Mike has written, recorded himself, and then gave away to another artist or band. The previous two songs are “IDGAF” by Nelly featuring Pharrell & T.I. and “Boyfriend” by Justin Bieber. It’s just the life of a songwriter.
