Mike Posner recorded a song with Tom Morello while scaling Mount Everest. Mike’s harsh surroundings provided the perfect inspiration for “Naraka,” a song named after the Hindu word for “hell.” Check out the official lyric video for “Naraka” below and stream Tom Morello’s new album, The Atlas Underground Fire, available everywhere! The collaboration-filled album has guest appearances that all have interesting backstories. One song, “Naraka,” is one that is unlike any other. The track features Mike Posner, who took time out of a once-in-a-lifetime experience to work with Tom Morello. “Between the beginning of recording that song and the end of recording that song, he summited Mt. Everest. He summited Mt. Everest!” Morello exclaimed.
“Some of those vocals were recorded at 25,000 feet in Nepal.”

“Naraka” Lyrics
(Verse 1: Mike Posner)
It feels like redemption
I walked through a wall
Nothing could stop me
David and Saul
The house is on fire
My mom’s underneath
My brother is crying
Gnashing of teeth
He’s using a wall to keep himself warm
We killed all the cops last night
and prayed right through the storm
Mmm
Mmm
Mmm
Mmm
(Verse 2: Mike Posner)
Gnarled of metal
Stabbing up at the sky
Used to be downtown where the
People work till they died
It went as it was written
It followed Jerome
So this is Naraka baby
It feels like I’m home
I said hold me you’re gorgeous
This is truly the end
Then we fucked for a long, long time
And continued to descend
I carried the flag
And heeded the call
It feels like redemption baby
David and Saul
Mmm
Mmm
Mmm
Mmm
(Outro: Mike Posner)
I’m going down, down, down (Oooh)
I’m going down, down, down (Oooh)
I’m going down, down, down (Oooh)
I’m going down, down, down (Oooh)
I’m going down
